In 2020, I was asked by the Brisbane City Council to be a fashion curator for their Revive Second Hand Fashion Festival Event in October. The festival celebrates pre-loved fashion and encourages the people of Brisbane to reduce their textile waste to landfill.
With this role, I was tasked to source items only from Brisbane op shops, and to find models for my show. I curated 15 looks for a 15 minute runway, and the show was to be repeated 3 times during the day.
The event was to be a one day event, but we were sadly rained out so I was unable to showcase what I had curated, however, I had a ball with my models and creating the thrifted looks for the event.
