In 2021, I was a Feature ditor for Frocket Zine through QUT. The aim of Frocket is to create a creative Zine for Brisbane-based viewing. The theme, Digital Identiy, was a thrill to explore. The theme of Digital Identity allowed us to explore so much of the industry and really challenged our creative abilities and personally, being apart of the Social Media team, being amongst all of these fantastic photoshoots, was such a privilege as I saw the work of my incredibly creative peers.

My Feature “Sex Toys: The New Fashion Accessory” focused on the culture shift surrounding sex toys, and the rise in sales due to COVID 19. I interviewed FLOSSY, a Brisbane based sexual health and wellness retailer, and Melbourne content creator Maggie Zhou to unpack the questions;  is it possible that the rise of sex toy sales due to COVID-19, has capitalised off people’s isolation? Are the increased sales a marketing strategy toying on people’s vulnerability and loneliness?

For this project, I also created my own visuals, directing an at home photoshoot (as seen above).
